The phrase 'Cub Scouting' includes the word 'outing'. Cub scouting is designed to have the boys doing things! The aims of scouting--citizenship training, character development and personal fitness--are achieved through planned activities. Many of the activities take place in the den, and pack. Some of the things that scouts learn, such as the Cub Scout Promise, the Law of the Pack, and the Cub Scout Sign, all focus on the aims of scouting, and leaders try to teach it in an enjoyable way. All teach good citizenship and contribute to a boy's sense of belonging.
